Ari Kaplan did what every good blogger and writer does, try to come up with an attention-getting headline. It caught my attention and I listened to his almost eight minute audio interview with Doug Horton of Handshake Software.
Handshake has some cool software if you use SharePoint. SharePoint as a DMS remains a hotly debated topic. “Build” versus “buy” is a very legitimate topic to debate. But let me provide a very direct answer to Ari’s headline. No. No it can’t. I don’t care which piece of software you might want to substitute for SharePoint. There is no piece of software that can “save” a law firm, corporate law department or government legal agency.
